বাংলাদেশ 孟加拉国

Bangladeshi goods,
found in China.

BanglaCOM is a Bangladeshi–Chinese joint venture in Kunming. We help producers in Bangladesh reach buyers in China — and help Chinese buyers source Bangladeshi jute, textiles, handicrafts and food with someone on both sides of the table.

What we do

Five kinds of work, one route to market.

Getting a Bangladeshi product onto a Chinese shelf takes more than a shipping container. It takes storage, customs, a place buyers can see it, a listing where people shop, and enough familiarity with Bangladesh that a buyer takes the meeting. We work on all five.

Sourcing & trade

采购与贸易

Matching Bangladeshi suppliers to Chinese buyers, and handling the negotiation, paperwork and follow-through in between.

Warehousing & customs

仓储与通关

Storage, inventory, sorting and customs coordination — including bonded arrangements, so duty is deferred until goods actually sell.

Showroom & display

展示与洽谈

A physical place in Kunming where buyers can see, handle and order Bangladeshi products year-round rather than only at trade fairs.

Online retail

电商运营

Storefront operation on the platforms Chinese people actually buy on — JD.com, Douyin, Pinduoduo, and 1688.com for wholesale.

Fairs & exhibitions

展会服务

Booth booking, interpretation, on-site support and buyer follow-up at trade fairs across China — attending for you if you can't travel.

Cultural exchange

文化交流

Lectures, language classes and cultural events that introduce Bangladesh to Chinese audiences. Non-commercial, and the reason the rest works.

Why now

The tariffs came down. The awareness hasn't caught up.

Bangladeshi goods now enter China on favourable terms, and Yunnan Province has opened warehouse, exhibition and logistics support to partner countries. The remaining gap isn't cost — it's that most Chinese buyers have never been offered a Bangladeshi product.

How to work with us

Two doors, one warehouse.

Whether you're shipping out of Chattogram or buying out of Kunming, the process is deliberately short.

If you produce in Bangladesh

面向孟加拉出口企业
  1. Send us your catalogue and your realistic export capacity. Small producers are welcome — we work with SMEs and rural handicraft makers.
  2. We check the products against what Chinese buyers are actually asking for, and tell you honestly which lines have a market here.
  3. We agree terms in writing — pricing, timelines, what happens to unsold stock — before anything ships.
  4. You handle quality control and shipping to China; we handle storage, customs, display, listing and sales on this end.
  5. You get regular reporting and periodic payment as goods sell — not one lump settlement a year later.

If you buy in China

面向中国采购商
  1. Tell us the category and volume. Jute, ready-made garments, handicrafts, leather, aquatic and agricultural products, specialty foods.
  2. See samples in Kunming, or ask us to send them. You are dealing with a China-registered company under Chinese law, not an overseas unknown.
  3. We verify the supplier in Bangladesh and confirm they can actually meet your volume before you commit.
  4. Goods clear customs and ship domestically from our Kunming warehouse — with bonded storage where it helps your cash flow.
  5. Wholesale enquiries welcome via 1688.com; retail quantities through our platform storefronts.

Exploring My Neighbour:
Bangladesh

A free, open programme that takes Bangladesh to where people already are — university halls, company offices, government departments, public squares. No ticket, no purchase, no sales pitch.

We run it because a country you've never heard of is a hard sell, and because the exchange runs both ways: we teach Bengali to Chinese learners and Chinese to Bangladeshi businesses working here.

  • University lecturesBangladesh's history, culture, economy, and its long trade relationship with China — for students and faculty.
  • Investment briefingsSector-by-sector sessions for government offices, state-owned enterprises and private companies.
  • Cultural & product daysPerformance, craft demonstration and tasting in public and commercial spaces.
  • Language classesBeginner Bengali for Chinese learners; beginner Chinese for Bangladeshi enterprises operating here.
  • Annual calendarPahela Baishakh (14 April), Bangladesh Cultural Week, and joint commemorations with the Bangladesh Consulate General in Kunming.

Who we are

A joint venture, on purpose.

A Chinese company alone doesn't know Bangladesh. A Bangladeshi company alone can't operate inside China's customs and platform systems. We were set up as one company with both, so neither side is being handled at arm's length.

Zhang Wenfang

Legal Representative

Legal representative of the company under Chinese company law, responsible for the company's formal undertakings and compliance.

Gao Yuan

Chinese shareholder side

Investment experience across South and Southeast Asia, with working knowledge of Chinese enterprises in the electromechanical and renewable-energy sectors.

Sagred Al Miskat Sharif

Bangladeshi partner

Bengali-language faculty in Kunming; dual bachelor's degrees from the University of Dhaka and Yunnan University. Author of A Spoken Bengali Course, and interpreter at 100+ Bengali–Chinese engagements. Has helped establish university exchange programmes between the two countries.
